PRIVATE COLLECTOR – Why surround yourself with art?

After the conclusion of my successful sales exhibition at Platforma 15, Prague, I deliberately posed this question to art collector and, among other things, successful entrepreneur and philanthropist Petr Kasa.

Why Surround Yourself with Art? What Can Art Do?

Surrounding myself with art, especially pieces like Petra Skopalová’s geometric abstractions, brings a unique dimension to my life. As a lover of architecture, her art beautifully complements my appreciation for clean lines and functionalism. Skopalová’s works add depth, emotion, and a touch of soul to my spaces without disrupting their inherent beauty. They serve as a constant reminder that art has the power to enhance our environments, evoke emotions, and elevate our daily lives.

Art surrounds us and enriches our lives by allowing us to express emotions, thoughts, and experiences through aesthetic forms. Paintings, as one of many artistic mediums, have the power to inspire, entertain, and provoke. Art provides us with new perspectives, opens up discussions, and enhances creativity. It is a way to understand both ourselves and the world around us. In essence, art has the incredible ability to infuse beauty and meaning into our world.
