PRIVATE INSTALLATION – Appartment Modrany, Prague
“I have always wanted my beautiful minimalist apartment to be filled with colourful original paintings. This was also the basic task for the interior architect, who sensitively hid all storage or technical spaces in white modules and accentuated only small elements with colour, which would then be beautifully matched with the paintings on the walls. After the main large-format paintings for the living room and dining room, which form one large space, were chosen, the painting for the neighbouring kitchen had to be chosen with great sensitivity. As the surrounding paintings were really significant, it was necessary to simplify the geometric shapes used and to match the colours not only to the space of the minimalist kitchen with its distinctive blue glass top, but also to the already installed pieces themselves. The resulting minimalist painting, entitled Day and Night, accomplished this task very tastefully and connected the two rooms beautifully.”
