PRIVATE INSTALLATION – ARTISTIC COMPLETION OF A FAMILY HOUSE, PRAGUE – DEJVICE

“For a long time we were looking for a suitable design solution for our generous kitchen space, where our family meets every day at the large dining table. A wall that seems to end the dining area, but visually already connects to the adjacent living room with garden was a great design challenge for us. Since this is an iconic place in the whole house, we were looking for a piece of art with a story that would be in beautiful harmony with our family and the whole space.
The artwork of painter Petra Skopalova really impressed us not only with its geometric and colourful conciseness, but also with the metaphysical overlap of stories and beautiful ideas she puts into her paintings. We were very impressed by the painting entitled Angel Wings, which Petra painted in 2017, and so we approached her with the same request.
The resulting painting that Petra created tailored to our space exceeded our expectations. The borrowed motif of the Angel’s wing, as a symbol of family protection, adapted in colour and composition to the specific location and above all to our artistic taste, was a perfect match. The beautiful muted colors and airy composition of the painting filled our family space beautifully.”
