Painting rental – Commercial space Bredovský dvůr, Prague
The offer to rent 4 original paintings for the atrium of the commercial space of the Bredovský dvůr Centre was a wonderful opportunity for me to show how abstract art can work in a semi-public space. Bredovský Dvůr is a new building located between two fully renovated historical buildings in the centre of Prague. The ground floor is used, among other things, for a restaurant, commercial space and a quiet atrium. The atrium is conceived as a very modern architectural element made of glass and steel, where not only managers and employees of large companies meet, using this lucrative address for their headquarters, but also young students of the British Council, or customers of the adjacent restaurant, hairdresser or gym.
The opportunity to sit in the beautiful corners created with the living plant walls allowed for a pleasant stop and rest at the abstract paintings, which, thanks to their 3D composition, create additional airy spaces where the viewer can “get lost” and relax. The paintings were again very carefully selected together with the project commissioners with regard to the airy space, light and colourful composition of the seating and relaxation corners. The whole project had a very positive response not only from regular visitors to the office space, but also from the general public of different age and professional groups.
