At the beginning of 2015, I was approached by one of New York’s major galleries, Agora Gallery, to organize a group exhibition of selected contemporary international artists. This gallery is well known for supporting and seeking out aspiring painters, for whom this collaboration is often one of the keys to launching their global artistic careers. The exhibition, entitled Pathway to Abstraction, ran from December 23, 2014 to January 15, 2015 and the grand opening was truly a great artistic experience for all artists, gallerists and visitors. Guests included local celebrities from the world of acting, art making and politics. This exhibition kick-started my artistic career in a very significant way and was the impetus for my other interesting art commissions and exhibitions.
This exhibition featured my 3 paintings – Interview, (Acrylic on canvas, dimension 120 x 140 cm, 2014), Mirroring (Acrylic on canvas, dimension 50×50 cm, 2014) and Great Expectations (Acrylic on canvas, dimension 60×60 cm, 2014).
